Betsy DeVos was confirmed by the Senate as education secretary by a razor-thin margin last week, with Vice President Mike Pence casting an unprecedented vote to break a 50-50 tie on a Cabinet nomination.
But long story short, she basically has no experience with public schools even calling them a dead end and is a proponent of charter schools.
Her only relevant activity is donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican Senators, which many are saying is the reason she was actually confirmed.
In other words, this should turn out well.
Twitter was quick to respond, as Twitter tends to do, using humor to mourn what they feel is the end of the education system.
As for DeVos, she’s not exactly instilling confidence by tweeting this out on her first day on the job.
Since she apparently can’t find her pencils after her first day in charge of the office that controls public schools and federal student aid, Twitter once again hopped in to help…
